Musical Theatre

Musical Theatre is a passion for me and I am currently the holder of the Cameron Mackintosh Resident Composer Scheme.

The 45th Marvellous Chatterley Village Fete (written with Susannah Pearse) is licensed with Perfect Pitch, and the song 'White Elephant Stall' from the show is published in the Perfect Pitch Songbook.  'Three Little Words' was in the final of the Stiles and Drewe Song Prize at the Stephen Sondheim Society Student Performer Award in May 2011.

Jabberwocky, originally written with Susannah Pearse for YMT, was one of two highly commended shows in the S&S Award 2015.

As well as writing musicals, many of which have been for Full House Theatre Company, I have also lead many workshops for youth theatres, schools and community groups in songwriting and devising and creating musicals.

My interest in musical theatre extends to an academic pursuit, and  I also lecture in the History of Musical Theatre, and Music Theatre Studies at Urdang Academy, London, and at Anglia Ruskin University, Cambridge.  I tutor writing for musicals at Goldsmiths College and at Royal Central School of Speech and Drama.
